It's far too early to make a judgement on that when we haven't seen the full picture. It's been an underwhelming beginning to his reign but he'll get more time. Let's not forget that he's playing a role in transforming the club off the field too.

Im not so sure it was. We spent a vast amount on long contracts for big name players at the start of the season. We weren't buying guys from Hearts, Dundee Utd, England to finish 4th. These guys wete being bought to win the league.

I'd imagine lynch will lead us to a mid table finish this season and this time next year we'll be in the same position saying the exact same things.

It's been the same at Derry for a long time. Let's build this year and we'll challenge for the title next year. It's always excuses. I've heard the same thing over and over the last 10 to 15 years.

You believe that then you need your head examined… we’ve finished 4th last year and got embarrassed by a pub team in Europe. You don’t just go and win the league the next season…

The league is very competitive- only a few weeks back Shels were behind. We’ve got a very experienced squad and not many young players. The first window was about getting bodies in. Hopefully we can move some on now and get some young blood into the team.

We still appear to lack any game plan or have any idea how to create chances. Lots of effort and some good play but nothing to get you thinking we’re going to dominate and score a few goals. How many times have we seen the subs which tells us we’re not getting it right…

And every week we (fans) are complaining about referees out to get us or players celebrating etc etc. we need to focus on ourselves and stop looking for excuses- for me you need to rise above that - we still didn’t score, didn’t really create anything and never really put them under serious pressure.

Following the defeat to Bohemians, Derry City goalkeeper, Brian Maher, reacts to the result and the controversial awarding of a penalty in the opening minute.

Ultimately Derry didn't deserve anything although they had a few chances in second half. Specifically the Benson chance.

Manager clearly got lineup wrong

One thing I found odd: when Doherty was going down to get odd, Connolly signalled to Doherty to go down, told McEleney what happened, who then told Lynch. There was a small reorganisation but there was no communication between Connolly and Lynch at all.

Last night was a case of anything that could have gone wrong did go wrong, both in terms of decisions by the referee and on the pitch/tactically.

I watched Dom Thomas a lot at Queen’s Park and don’t feel he’s being used effectively. Utilise Whyte’s pace wide and Thomas’ guile in a number ten role and I think more chances will be created.

Hard to argue with that.

Imagine the money those 2 are on as well.

Think Ferguson is only on 1 yr deal but we’ve been fleased again.

Boyce I think is a good player but the distribution is shocking. You could stick Ronaldo up front and he’d struggle to score in that team.

No creativity and little by way of quality coming off the wide areas. Duffy has now understandly hit a slow spell.

We got lucky v Drogheda, got punished v Rovers and got nothing v Bohs. Transfers window should be interesting - Phil should make him ship out 5 or 6 players.

From what I heard at the time he signed he has it. I don't know if it is the club who can take it up, or it is the player.

Even if it’s the player with the option surely you’d make it clear it’s not working out.

Still think we’re struggling to find a pattern to play. Not quite sure what we’re about yet.

Still early days but I’m not sure TL knows his best 11

He obviously doesn't. To think we let Ciaron Coll go.

Utter madness but I think he jumped a bit too quickly tbh once an offer came in he was gone. Think it was a long contract offer and he snapped it up

Sure Derry made him an offer on less wages.

Less than Ferguson and the rest, I'd wager.
