I would presume so Steve. Not sure what the capacity is as the new stand is being used as ‘Seated’ atm, but would guess 5-5.5k ish.

North Stand (seated capacity as stated on social media) = 1700
Mark Farren = 915
Southend Pk = 2077
Terraces either side of MF = 2 x 135
(Figures taken from planning application)
Total current capacity = 4962

If NS reverts to a standing terrace the capacity is listed at 2910, so an additional 1230 onto the total = 6372 overall

If / when the MF gets completed that will add 1436 seats. Minus the standing either side figures above (2x135) that equates to an all seated capacity of 6128, or 7358 when NS is used as a standing terrace.

Thanks for that Roger. I would hope for something close to 4500 this Friday. Do the 4000 already sold include the Rovers allocation?

If we are found to be selling more seats than we are allowed capacity we could be in big bother by authorities.

If only we got to that level of support again that we had that problem :)

Online tickets show only 4-5 left.

Clearly very strong ticket sales for this game, figures will be interesting.

Sounds promising.

Chances of the official attendance figure being a suspicioiusly round number (like the last 2 were) ? :P

100%. loads of tickets weren't scanning brandywell road entrance and they just let the people in. My ST wouldn't scan they let me go on in lol. Either way anything over 4k and we're doing well. Keep challenging around the top and we should be sitting above 4k most of season

Yep, there was close to 5k there on Friday, 4,250 is a bullshit figure as per.

Do you ever see the people with the clickers as you walk through the turnstile, they may just be council, but I mean surely the ticket scanners can tally accurately the number of people, for the love of god.

Either way it's great to see. Club finally moving in the right direction! the atmosphere Friday night was as good as I've seen the place since 2006 European run

Agreed, once the MF Stand is extended, we will be billing high attendances consistently I would say, especially with momentum.

What continues to blow my mind is how we've transformed a worthless sod of ground up behind the goal into an absolutely fantastic stand that not only adds capacity but encloses the ground at that end and creates a fantastic atmosphere.

Transformational. Makes you realise the potential of the showgrounds end which has much more land to play with in the future.

I agree - an excellent job what they have managed behind that goal.

A further point for the purposes for attendance clarity, with the new North Stand being utilised as a 'seated' stand to begin with, this means a capacity of 1,750, not 2910 when 'standing'.

With that in mind, from looking at the stadium plans online: North Stand (1,750 seats) + MF Stand (955 seats) + Southend Stand (2077 seats) + Standing either side of MF Stand (270 (officially)) = a current total capacity of 5,052.

Given a section of Block 'K' is netted to separate home & away supporters, we can assume our capacitiy is currently c5,000, expanding to 6,242 when the North Stand fulfils its maximum capacity, and then onto 7,678 when the MF Stand is extended (+1,436).

Yeah the people with the clickers are council workers

I wonder will the turnstiles barcode/QR code scanners ever work, like in most other stadium with them?

Then maybe that line of turnstiles which should be letting in 6 or 7 at a time, won't require 2 guys with handheld scanners letting in 2 ar a time.w

Do the council workers have any bearing on what gates are open to fans exiting the ground as stewards were directing fans away from the gate beside the new turnstiles on the south stand. It may be a small gate but would allow easy exit for those who have transport local to it. It was open for the previous home game.

Also thought this.
Why only one exit gate? Surely once the game is over all exit gates should be opened?
