Of course it's about the fact that we are losing, after spending a fortune on finished articles (I won't even open that can of worms).

We haven't won a league in nearly 30 years. Rovers have won 6 in the last 14 years. It is their prerogative what they do with Jack Byrne. It's not about masking things, coventional wisdom is that footballers earn their nights out. It's poor optically when you're not winning & is poor form - not many people would argue against that. If it was a Birthday party, book a venue privately - as you stated - that was a balls up.

We signed Gavin Whyte to be one of our main players, making the difference & taking us closer to the league. His behaviour & general condition would suggest that will be a stretch.

It's only opinions Dee & we have differing viewpoints. The sun will rise in the morning (I hope).
But will Gavin...?

If we were top of the league at the moment after 5 games, even by a point, and this surfaced... people would say they deserved it and probably laugh at Whytes comment

We are bottom of the league after 5 games and people are angry, simple as that...

The players go out to celebrate with a team mate for his birthday and its a crime all of a sudden? I'd say it wouldnt take much for a full time athlete to get drunk and whether people want to turn a blind eye from the fact that he trains 4 or 5 times a week and is probably in good shape but because some social media hound wanted 'likes' he films him having a bit of craic in the toilet and now hes public enemy number 1...

We can all be judge, jury and executioner on here... The club will address it... Whether they address the fact that its an invasion of privacy to the guy who filmed it is another thing...

Lets focus on the future and not the past... Like yer arse, the weekend is behind you... Move on

But is he in good shape? This is my issue with it. It's not just that we're bottom of the league, it's a player that is visibly a few kgs overweight and from whom we expected much better performances so far.

The comparison between the players going out at the weekends and regular Joe Soaps like us going out at the weekends - sure, it's our free time and we can do what we like. But if I go on the lash so hard and am hungover Monday and Tuesday and can't do my job properly, then it absolutely becomes my boss' business and I run the risk of some sort of disciplinary action. And then you have to add in the fact that these are full-time (handsomely paid) professional footballers and they should be taking better care of their bodies during the season.

Bottom of the league means nothing after 5 games so that’s really not an issue…

You could flip that around and say just wait til you seen them when we’re top of the league

There’s more pressure from disgruntled spectators than supporters.
The results are not enlightening but Fridays match was an improvement.
Parallels with Man U? but as soon as the team clicks we’ll forget the whinging, hopefully soon.
