Waterford V Derry City 25 April

Post by Paddydcfc2010 »

7:45 kick off

Live on loitv, Drive 105 and Radio Foyle.

Waterford have lost seven in a row so it's a great time to play them.

Ah Jesus, I wouldn't have put this in the post. You might be barred from starting match threads if this goes wrong tonight!

Reasons to be confident:
1) 3 best performances in the last 3 matches
2) Beaten the weaker teams in the league recently - Cork and Sligo
3) Waterford are a bit of disaster at the moment, lost 4-0 to Sligo

Reasons to be apprehensive:
1) Not convinced we're good at this stage, are we only beating weaker sides?
2) Travel - long distance can have an impact
3) Potential bounce from a team who weren't performing under a previous manager.

We're rightly favourites and we'd likely come away with a point at least but I'm not confident in this team just yet.

We are far from good but def getting better. We’ve now got a handful of stand out performers but there’s still little in the way of quality and ball retention.

Tougher tests to follow. Still expect a win tonight.

Match Night Live on Drive 105 tonight.

Our volunteers are heading south at their own expense (as I type) to bring you full match coverage. Pitchside at the RSC is Michael Kealey and Dermot Liddy. In Studio is Paul Doherty and The Countdown to Kick-Off (which was pre-recorded this week) features interviews with Tiarnan Lynch, Podge Amond, Sean Patton and Mick Neville.

Coverage starts at 7pm with kick-off at 7:45pm. We'd love your company tonight.
