Ben Doherty went off because he was sick, at least that is what he told Simon Collins after the match. Carl Winchester went off with a calf injury.

I thought we were solid defensively and had good control of the game. It's hard to know if we made Rovers look poor or they were poor. We showed some good moment's in attack but we need to massively improve in the final 3rd.

The big disappointment was not capitalising when they had 10 men. 33% procession away from home in Tallaght is not unusual. We look better without Boyce in the team.

Hopefully we continue to build on this performance. It's the Waterord result that is regrettable.

Agree. We would have lost that game last year. We did look a bit more solid generally.

My gripe is us sitting with 5 at the back long after Rovers went down to 10 men. We invited pressure rather than dictating the tempo. Too slow to adapt after the red card and too fearful of losing.

Let's be honest, there has been no improvement in the football or entertainment levels from last season.

Ruidhri musta left behind his Big Book of Excuses, they're a great bunch of Lads, they left everything on the pitch, they're superb in training etc, etc etc.

I agree with the above sentiments. We are no better than last year, possibly worse.
Maybe there's a 'masterplan' in place which my poor self can't comprehend. I can only hope.
