Yeah, presume he's been sent off for complaining about that wrong call from the linesman.
When the fourth official showed the board, John Caulfield began to shout at the official. Lynch cut across and started shouting back, which drew Ollie Horgan into the argument. Half time whistle was blown and it continued, the fourth got in the middle and a yellow was shown to Horgan and a red to Lynch for whatever he said or did.

We'll take that - did a job on them.

Home to Sligo and away to Waterford should be 6 points.

Good to see Whyte on the scoresheet - he is authorised to have a few this weekend

Good to get the win but I remain unimpressed with this team. Thought they made hard work of it despite the man advantage. Huge concerns defensively.

50 shades of yellow.
We are in a league of our own.
They are going to cost us dear if we keep collecting them.
Is there a prize for the most booked at the end of the season.
2 sloppy goals given away.
Only 4 points adrift!
I must be getting harder to please.

Great result and some good goals. Defending was awful for first goal.

Think the pitch reduced the extra man advantage. Felt like Galway were the more likely to score. Great save from Maher in first half.

Ref dished out a lot of cards but again some of Derry's fouls were idiotic.

Good to see McMullan set one up and for Whyte to play full 90 mins and score.

Firstly we got a result that few expected. 3 points away to Galway and 3 goals is promising anytime in the Season not least when 2 first teamers are missing.

The conditions were horrendous and we showed a good bit of fight against a very strong and physical side.

But conceding yet another goal from a corner (two last week) has me wondering do we have a weakness or is it just a coincidence…?

Still we have players picking up needless and stupid cards. Are they completely daft or do they just not care?

We got 3 bookings for time wasting , that is a discipline issue.

Great to get the 3 points and goals from open play. We did though make hard work of it and it was difficult to know who had the extra man, they always had a man free to pass to which is poor. Compared to Drogheda last week who made the most of their man advantage we were slow and careless in possession. We could not keep the ball and resorted to side and back passes taking an inordinate amount of time to take kick outs and throw ins. Our defenders look clueless and are like rabbits caught in headlights when crosses come in. Attack is definitely our best form of defence at the minute.

Any replay anywere of the offside just before galway scored? Seemed a shocking decision at the time

We were employing the same tactics that other teams do against us. Never have I saw an opposition player in the Brandywell recieve a yellow card in the 35th minute for time wasting yet Mickey Duffy gets one last night. It seems the threshold for a Derry City player to get a yellow card is much less than what it is for any of the other 9 teams

Don't have a recording but was able to watch on LOI app again this morning. Technically correct (as per Laws in the 80's) as Mullan was offside - but he put his hands on his head and always moving away from ball (right in front of Asst Ref). Galway man got ball, took too long and White came from deep. Given it was clear to all - including the Galway player Mullan not interfering, should have been allowed to go.

Interesting in second half same Asst gave 2 or 3 offsides against Galway for 'coming back from offside position' - none of them obvious whilst ball in play - so feels like he was trying to balance things.

There's a serous discipline issue within the team starting from the coach down to the players. When the No.1 has 2 reds in 10 games and refuses to accept it's an obvious issue affecting the team, its only natural that the squad will follow suit with reds and yellows of their own. I think someone needs to have a word otherwise TL and the team will get a reputation for petulance, time wasting and being dirty. Once you've got that reputation its hard to shake off and the bookings will continue.
