Thomas looks like he could provide a threat but seems to struggle to get the ball moving on that surface. Personally thought the chance was a sitter in the fourth minute and Eddie can't convince me otherwise. We don't have enough bursting forward from central midfield, but in saying that Diallo offered more in terms of attempts on goal than anyone else. Mind you most were from distance. Like many I worry where the goals are coming from in open play.

I wouldn't say we've gone backwards from last season we've just not seen any progression - can't score, can't defend, no energy, nobody in midfield capable of breaking into the box and score 12 goals a season- a familiar story to the last few.

We need to get our act together and start winning. Connolly has regressed and Boyce certainly doesn't look the answer. How much more time does Gavin Whyte need to get up to speed ffs. I'd be starting Danny Mullen up front when fit as at least he has a bit of energy and can run in behind.

Two away matches next we need to win at least one match. Without a team that is producing the goods you won't get the crowds to fill that new stand.

Lynch will not get close to achieving with us what Higgins did.

Obviously we would never have won a league with Higgins, but to compare Lynch to him in any way is very unfair.

I think it’s funny how people use the new stand as some type of reference point when the team is not doing well. The stand is there to accommodate larger crowds. That’ll happen if & when the team improves. If we didn’t have a new stand ppl would be complaining that we can’t compete with other teams or that we’re Mickey Mouse club. Obviously I want to see it full every week but it’s better having it than not having it. with that mentality sure why bother finishing the MF stand as it’ll nerver get used either? maybe we should let Glenroran and Larne have all the stadia funding instead…

What I’ve seen in 5 games is 1 player up front looking capable of causing the opposition problems. We need others to step up and contribute.

Despite all the doom & gloom the table remains tight. We’re only going to improve as new players and new systems get figured out and omptimised.

At least Maher had a decent game and didn’t make any howlers. He actually saved the day at the end. Also, lots of talk about refs in recent weeks - actually thought your man last night was fair and reasonable. Had a good game.

Disappointing again last night, lack of a No.10 and a clear cutting edge. If you’d have shown me that game today on video- no difference to last season…. These boys should be hitting the ground running….

Moreover- i see lynch was doing co commentary on sportsround today.. players get Sat and Sunday off…

I fear that players living away from derry will fail to understand the importance of playing for Derry, importance to community etc.. travelling from owenbeg- Belfast 4 days a week lol

Is that a weekly gig for him or was he there an as invited guest? Those boys should be back together on a Sunday for a few hours to review their Friday games then back to work Monday. If the management and new signings are all Belfast based then you add the long away travel to games then that’s going to wear you down quickly. Not the best solution if true.

Last nights antics don’t look to good either.. part time on full time wages.

One thing I've wondered is what happens for most away games. Do the manager, staff and the Belfast players get on the bus at Belfast and then get dropped off early leaving the rest to travel on home without them?

I just can't see that being good for team morale when things are tough.

From what I saw this morning, some certainly CANNOT do what they want weekends.

Players have personalised weekend programmes. They are employees, and most of us work 5 days per week and have days off. Players do double session Mon - Thurs and are in from.09.00 -16.30, which is different to Higgins regime.

I completely get that. But at the same time it's not an office job.

So if we're playing Pats away do the Belfast contingent, manager included, meet the rest at the away ground or do they travel up to Derry and join the coach with the rest of the team and then head down... or have they an arranged pick up on the way?

They get picked up at Belfast, I believe.

Do personalised weekend programmes include getting plastered in 5 star hotels?

Fans will not be happy when this news spreads, especially with guys who look unfit at it stands. They can't come here, lift 2 or 3k per week and then be on the lash, whilst we are bottom of the league. It's unprofessional and has to stop.
